It’s a question we get often: Are our names Chère and Rosalie? Not quite! Our name is actually a love letter to family and heritage. Chère is French for 'dear,' and Rosalie is Kim’s grandmother - a woman who has held a lifelong passion for the wedding industry but never got to see it through. When it came time to launch this business, naming it after her wasn't just a choice; it was a tribute. Today, Chère Rosalie creates exquisite destination weddings for families as a way to honor our own.

I’m Kim Pestalozzi, or Kim Possible, as I’ve been called many times. Lead planner. Creative director. Your most loyal advocate.
I don't just plan weddings; I produce them. With over 100 events under my belt and a decade in live television production, I bring a unique blend of sharp logistics and bold, editorial style to every celebration. Before channeling my energy into weddings, I spent ten years as a broadcast news producer - even earning two Emmy Awards along the way. But eventually, I realized my true passion was trading the fast-paced newsroom for vibrant, modern love stories.
My path here was personal. Because of a sudden family illness, I had to organize my own wedding in a mere seven weeks. Yet in the middle of that whirlwind, I didn't feel overwhelmed - I thrived. Today, I use that exact same steady-under-pressure and problem-solving mindset to cut through the noise, keeping things grounded, structured, and elevated for my couples from start to finish.
When I’m not dreaming up celebrations for my clients, I’m home with my husband, our two sons and our pups. After a successful event you may find me with a crisp lemon drop martini in one hand and a chocolate chip cookie in the other.

My journey in the events industry started from the ground up as a venue coordinator, where I spent years mastering the logistics and ins and outs of seamless execution. But I was always captivated by the bigger creative picture, which naturally drew me into full-scale wedding planning. Following several seasons of mentoring and assisting with other companies, I found my perfect creative home with Chère Rosalie.
After learning how to direct everything from the initial logistics to the final, high-energy execution on event days and everything in between, stepping into the role of Lead Planner & Designer was the natural next step. I bring a signature calm presence, meticulous attention to detail, and a genuine love for a spectacular party to every celebration - making me your ultimate ally on the big day.
When I’m not bringing flawless events to life, you can find me hosting craft nights, training for my next marathon, or working my way through the Oscar nominee list. I love soaking up the energy of the city, but I’m just as likely to be traveling to spend quality time with my family and my adorable nieces and nephew.
